I’m used to the catholic school system. What I’m not used to is blatant homophobia. Somehow class is lead into a discussion about homosexuality, with many lovely dicks voiced how grossed out they feel about ~icky lesbians~ and ~lustful gay dudes~. A few people, including the teacher, admitted that they do not want their gay relatives hanging out with them or their children. And of course we should love these sinners! Love and tolerate these unnatural sinners, because apparently there are no homosexual displays of love and affection between animals. Love and tolerate, but don’t accept these sinners. I dunno. I should be used to this ignorant shit, but it still fucking hurts to be reminded that behaving any way but hetreosexual means you aren’t accepted, only tolerated, only barely put up with, that even though you say the prayers and hear the angels laughing and the bells in mass, you’ll always be scum to these people.
